Terms of Service & Policies

Please read these terms carefully before booking. By submitting a booking you agree to all terms below.

1. Booking & Scheduling

Kaiser's Detail Co. accepts one appointment per day. Submitting a booking online reserves that date pending confirmation. We will contact you using the phone number or email you provide to confirm the appointment and finalize details. A booking is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our discretion. If we cancel a booking we have accepted, any advance payment collected will be refunded in full.

2. Payment

Payment is due in full upon completion of the service, before we leave your location. We do not require payment in advance. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at booking. The total shown during online booking is an estimate based on your selected service and add-ons. Final pricing may differ if the vehicle's actual condition varies substantially from what was described — for example, excessive soiling, heavy pet hair, mold, or biohazard conditions may require an adjusted quote, which will be discussed and agreed upon before any additional work begins. No payment card data is collected through this website; all payments are handled in person.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee at the operator's discretion. To cancel or reschedule, text or call 815-823-9485 or email KaoFechner@outlook.com.

4. Weather & Force Majeure

Mobile detailing is weather-dependent. If severe weather, unsafe conditions, illness, or other circumstances beyond our control prevent us from performing your service, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule at no penalty to either party. We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control.

5. Access & Vehicle Preparation

You are responsible for providing safe, lawful access to the vehicle and a suitable location for the work. Please remove personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle before your appointment. Kaiser's Detail Co. is not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle. You confirm that you are the vehicle owner or have the owner's permission to authorize this service.

6. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for any reason, including but not limited to unsafe working conditions, vehicle conditions that present a health or safety risk, or conduct we deem inappropriate. If service is refused before work begins, no charge applies. If service is discontinued partway through due to a condition not disclosed at booking, a partial charge reflecting work completed may apply.

7. Liability

Kaiser's Detail Co. takes great care with every vehicle. However, by booking you acknowledge that detailing involves inherent risks. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear, defects, or conditions — including but not limited to faded or peeling paint, clear-coat failure, loose trim, prior scratches or dents, mechanical or electrical issues, or aftermarket modifications — that may become more visible after cleaning. We are not responsible for damage resulting from undisclosed vehicle conditions. Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question.

8. Results

While we strive for excellent results, some stains, odors, oxidation, scratches, or other damage may be permanent and cannot be fully removed by detailing. Expected outcomes vary based on the vehicle's age, condition, materials, and prior care. We make no guarantee of specific results beyond our reasonable professional effort.

9. Photography

We may photograph vehicles before and after service for quality records and portfolio or marketing purposes (e.g. the gallery on this website). We do not publish identifying details such as license plates or street addresses. If you prefer your vehicle not be photographed for marketing use, please let us know at your appointment and we will respect that request.

10. Age & Eligibility

This service is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older, or minors (under 18) booking with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By submitting a booking you confirm you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a booking has been submitted by a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately at KaoFechner@outlook.com.

11. Business Disclosure

Kaiser's Detail Co. is a sole-proprietorship operated by a single individual in Plainfield, Illinois. It is not a licensed commercial fleet operation, a franchise, or a bonded/insured detailing company unless expressly stated otherwise. Proceeds support the operator's college tuition. This is a personal small business — not a registered nonprofit or charity — and payments are not tax-deductible donations.

12. Privacy Policy

We collect only the information you voluntarily provide when submitting a booking or contact form: your name, phone number or email address, and service address. This information is used solely to schedule, perform, confirm, and follow up on your service appointment. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party. We retain your booking information only as long as reasonably necessary for business records. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at KaoFechner@outlook.com. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, consistent with Illinois law. This website does not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising networks, or behavioral profiling.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Will County, Illinois, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
